Whoohooo....month 2 starts off great!

Post by Emilia » Fri Oct 01, 2010 11:05 am

Today is the first day of month #2 on cpap.... and it started off with the lowest AHI I've had to date: 0.44 !!!!!! I only slept for 7 hours, but it was very 'uneventful' -- LOL. Still don't feel like I have much energy, but so many other things have improved, I am willing to wait for that to kick in. I hope if I can get some more night in with results like last night, I may be energetic soon!

Have a great weekend, everyone!!

Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.

Congrats! Doesn't life look different (better) once you've taken a drag from the hose?

8/31 was my first day, so I guess this is the start of Month Dos for me as well.

Had the worst night ever after turning off the humidifier to check out the effect. Nostril #R stopped up, while Nostril #L continued to flow freely. Leaks from pillow engaging Nostril #L on exhalations awoke me at 0230. I irrigated the schnoz with saline, turned humidifer back on to 4.5, replaced the mask and took a few deep drags from it and slept like the proverbial dead the rest of the night. It's been warm but humid here, so I thought I didn't need humidifcation.

Everyone's different. Some people report feeling a surge of energy right away, some after a month or two, others after 6 months. So it's not over. You have more improvement to look forward to.

Woo hoo Emilia -- good for you -- you've been proactive and involved in you success. After clearing the sleep dept brain fog, you'll probably feel like a new gal!

I'm going to put some saline spray next to my machine for those middle of night stuff nose times also. Thanks Smarty for the suggestion.

Thanks, everyone! I have had a good day today. Was able to do some chores, go to an appt, and then out to shop for a while. That is a lot for me..... so things are looking up! I hope I can match those results from last night tonight.....if so, my energy may be up tomorrow even more!!

Have a great weekend! We are finally getting a touch of cooler and drier weather this weekend..... where I live, that means it will only be in the mid-80's with humidity down around 60%... LOL.
