Red marks & facial impresions from mask

Just a comment on how to avoid the red marks or facial impressions your mask may leave after sleeping for the night. When I first received my CPAP unit I tried several masks to find the right one. I finally found the Fisher & Paykel Opus 360 was my prefered mask, as it felt the most nature that a 10 foot hose forcing fresh air up you nose at a considerable rate could feel. But the facial impression that the contoured mask left were very long lasting. At least up to 4 -5 hours after waking. Not good for those early morning meetings.
My solution that I came up with works very well and want to share it with you so you can look your best after having to sleep with the octopus on your face for the night. I bought a adhesive backed piece of Moleskin. This is a heavy cotton fabric that is woven and then sheared to create a short soft pile on one side. It is usually used to prevent or protect blisters that have formed on your feet from exercise etc.

Anyway I cut strips to fit on the inside of the contured facial support and adhesive them on top of the thin padding that was already there. And it is the most comforatable and best of all free from all facial impressions. Hope you try it as I know it will work if your experiencing this problem.

it can also help to apply face cream before bed and to loosen mask straps until they are only just tight enough
