I woke up with hope how is that for being positive?

Post by asleep@thewheel » Thu Sep 30, 2010 6:47 am

Yesterday was spent with my wife and daughter down at Stanford. Lessons learned were as follows:

1. If the inclined pillow doesn't work for your neck/back ailments, put 10" of phone books at the base of your headboard to give the whole bed an incline.
2. I no longer use my mouthpiece with my mirage. I found it was pushing too much pressure through my nose and therefore leaking, but by removing my mouthpiece I definitely needed a higher adjustment on my apap. I m now at 13-16 , last night had an AHI of 2.7. a 50% reduction. it's amazing what one night of good sleep does to my brain chemistry.

WOW....10" incline??? We tried 6" and kept sliding down...we have been using 4" for the past several years. (Mainly for GERD)

That's what our little old GP told us to do with telephone books when Mike first started cpap. It helps my asthma too. Our incline is about 4".

I remember trying that for GERD and you're right, i did keep sliding down. It made my ankles swell so I stopped. I sleep on a wedge now and 5,000 pillows -- someone around here called it "pillow mountain"....

I'm very happy for your hopefulness. HOPE is a good thing!

Well, you have to find something to do with phone books!! Who even uses those anymore Verizon has announced that the white pages will not be delivered anymore except to those who request them.
Yes, that blue eyed beauty is my cat! He is a seal point, bi-color Ragdoll. I adopted him in '08 from folks who could no longer care for him. He is a joy and makes me smile each and every day.
