Used S9

Post by Stormynights » Mon Sep 27, 2010 10:56 am

I have an offer to buy a used S9 Auto. I am seriously considering it. I know there were some problems with this machine but I didn't follow it closely. What should I look for before such a purchase?

First find out what machine it is, they make more than one. Find out if it collects full data. Check it for Blower Hours, the true blower hours, not the patient use hours, that can be reset. Check the price against what you can get a new one for, make sure it's a good deal. Check that it's in good working order, noise level and smell. Jim

So what does THAT have to do w/the price of tea in China? GoofProof gave you good accurate advice.
1] Which model S9?
2] Fully data capable or not?
3] How many actual hours of use?
4] What is the price of that model brand new?
5] Any odor (smoking, aroma therapy odors, etc.)?
6] In good working order, no problems?
7] Is it noisy? Any whirrs, whines, etc.?
8] What comes w/it included in the price?

I think she is saying that Resmed only makes one version of an S9 APAP. They make two versions of an S9 CPAP.

There is only one S9 auto. The S9 AutoSet.

Remember that you probably won't be able to get warranty service on a privately sold device. ResMed only accepts warranty repair items from licensed dealers.
