I am considering buying an apap for use at home, and in my caravan (RV) when travelling, on 12v. A friend mentioned to me that the Intellipap power usage is considerably higher than comparable machines. I intend to set it at around 6-12, titrated pressure is 9. I have a 100amp hour battery in my RV and was hoping to it would provide sufficient for 3 or 4 nights of 5 or 6 hours per night.
Is this machine suitable or do the other brands use significantly less power ?
Thanks

Intellipap Auto 12v power consumption
Re: Intellipap Auto 12v power consumption
Power usage should be close to the same for all major models, unless the HH is turned on. Most need to be off for D/C use. Power shouldn't be a problem as long as the battery is in good shape and fully charged, it will be better if it's a deep cycle battery. It also depends on if you have other things drawing from it. Thanks Jim
I don't use a humidifier and I use an AGM deep cycle battery at present. The only other draw on the battery would be a water pump for showers each day and lights for a short time each night. We rarely stay anywhere without AC power and just looking to have that option if needed.
