CPAP Breathing Hot Air

Post by RWill1164@aol.com » Sun Sep 26, 2010 1:02 am

Is there any way I might get the air colder. So that I'm not breathing hot air?

Are you using a humidifier and if so, what is the setting. You may want to turn it down.

I HATE Warm air, cant handle the covers over my face without my mask on, can't take hot weather without air movement either. AC In the car before it gets cold makes me sick.

For me turning OFF the heat on my humidifier works best UNLESS its winter, then if it starts getting down into the 40's or below pulling the covers up over my head and pulling the hose under with me if it gets REALLY cold, a heat of 1 or 2 is more then enough for me.
Now I like a cooler bedroom, which in our apartment happens to be the master bedroom since its on a exterior wall on 2 sides, But in the summer its also the hottest room in the house so no heat now on the humidifier.

Also during winter i like to keep a room humidifier going as much as possible to. Helps with all the other body parts drying out to much.

I like cool air, so I use my HH without water and turned off. I also run a A/C in the bedroom, at 64 Degrees, year around, It cleans the air and cools it. I clean my XPAP foam filter and replace the white ultra filter every 2 or 3 weeks. Also a Comfortable (Comfortfull FF mask), is cooler than a Nasal mask (ComfortGel) inside of it. Jim

You could keep your distilled water in the refrigerator. At least you would start the night off with cool air.
