Please help.
I am having migraines over this battle. I have an resmed adapt sv with a 12 setting. I am a huge mouthbreather. I have tried no less than 15 masks. The best try was last nite w/ Swift light+2 chinstraps at the same time and tape.
I never get into stage 3 or 4 sleep. It was an ungodly amount of hypopneas. I am so sensitive to everything I want to give up.
The machine says only FFM and the nasal combo was my ONLY success. BUT, not....tonite.
I truly wonder if the machine is working correctly . The durable goods provider next door to the sleep lab replaced all of its employees after 15 years.
How would two new people off the street really be able to help w/ a possible machine problem? The fittings are a joke.
I have more things on the way (off the internet) as I feel, I can help myself just as well without the 2 hour trip + parking fee.
It appears there have been a lot more machines put out since a year+ ago. Is this a matter of talking w/ the doctor? She did change it from a 15 to 12. After that "we really have no place to go".
The bellowing and pulling when I finally relax is not at all like when I am awake and trying to fit things. This will never present itself when I am next door where I bought the machine.
I used all water from the resevoir except 2 Tbs. on my one succesful nite.
Guess what? I am too tired, want to cry and go eat something and give it up for tonite. Please help, I feel like such a loser.
CSA + no comfortable mask
Re: CSA + no comfortable mask
Good morning
A good morning it is too, the sun is shining and its going to be a lovely fall day..................and I just woke up........on the green side of the grass.
Please do not despair, it takes time and patience to get this thing right, it won't happen overnight. Stick to it!!!! It will happen!!! Go to bed tonite and in the morning come back on the forum and ask about the worst thing you experienced during the night.........someone will have the answer to that problem, then the next, and the next and so on. If you had a great experience with a ffm, use that one first.....if you are a mouth breather that is the best mask as you can breath thru both your nose and mouth. Take it in baby steps, one at a time it will all come together. You have taken the first step and have your machine to enable you to get some sleep. Take note of my first sentence "I woke up ..on the green side of the grass" that is the most important thing here...you woke up on the green side of the grass...you woke up! Without cpap you have a greater chance of NOT waking up
at all! Keep at it, perserverence and patience are what will make it a successful go.
You will feel better soon, remember, "baby steps".
Good luck and sweet dreams and by the way, I am a quilter too.
Nan
