I was six.
I was tiny.
I was scared.
There were nuns everywhere; and I was not ready to die. . .

I had mine out at age 26. The doctor said no to ice cream because it makes too much congestion. Yes to sorbet. I enjoyed many flavors of sorbet. Cold felt very good.

When my daughter had her tonsils out I gave her a bell to ring so that I would hear her when she needed something. The first day or two she was in bed and she certainly could not shout. The bell alerted me quickly.

Good luck with your surgery. Take good care of you!

Warmly,

Jersey Girl
