Reset of data card

I have a respironics, remstart M machine with c flex. It is fully data capable and has an encore data card. I also have encore version 2.1.14 software with an infaneer card reader. Last night when downloading the data, I forgot to check the box which lets the data remain on the card. It erased all the old data. That is not a concern about the data since I have it saved on the computer. Howerver with no data on the card, when I insert the care into the APAP it starts beeping and won't stop. The manual indicates the card is not set up. So, I have tried to find a way to reset the card but can't figure that out. My guess is I have to set the card up again as a new patient with all the parameters. Can anyone let me know how that is done?

I can't help you with EP2 but I do a reformat on my Smartcard with the utility at mycpap.org (free). Will also let you save and reinstall the data off the card. Have not had any problems getting it to read the card after being reformated. Reformatting does erase the data.
