Under upper lip becomes raw from mask

Post by JaguarFan2010 » Fri Sep 03, 2010 5:09 pm

I am on my second mask, now a hybred type mouth mask with nose pillows but still having a problem with my upper lip inside my mouth getting raw from the mask. Any experience/suggestions as to how you prevent it?

I'm not sure I understand how the inside of your lip is getting sore from the mask. Does the mask push your lip into your teeth? THat happened to me with the original Activa. Changing masks helped. I tried over 20 masks before I found one that didn't hurt.

Rotating between Activa and Softgel

I tried two hybrids, I cant recall which one of them hurt so much, but it pressed on my upper lip so that I could feel the pain
in my gums, it had very comfortable nose pillows though, and I was disappointed the mouth part hurt so badly..

The other hybrid did not hurt my mouth, but had silly accordian nose pillows that didnt fit worth a hoot in any size..

you may need to switch hybrids or loosen the straps a bit, that did not help me though..

have you tried nose pillow masks like the swift fx or the opus 360?
