Back Up CPAP machine
Do you have a back up cpap. Do you think one is needed? I was thinking about getting one to take traveling with me so I don't have to reset up my S9 each time I go out of town.

Re: Back Up CPAP machine
a second CPAP is useful in case one breaks down, they arent really reliable in my experience
australian, anxiety and insomnia, a CPAP user since 1995, self diagnosed after years of fatigue, 2 cheap CPAPs and respironics comfortgell nose only mask. not one of my many doctors ever asked me if I snored
Re: Back Up CPAP machine
I keep a backup machine, power supply, mask, hose all set up in its' bag ready to should I need it. I don't need to take apart my home setup then.

Re: Back Up CPAP machine
I have two S8's as backups, originally I purchased one as a backup as I started to do a lot of traveling for work, then in February I purchased an S9 so have two backups.
I used to hate when I traveled as I would get home around 10pm at night, and the last thing I wanted to do was to setup the machine, even though it only takes a few minutes, I just wanted to crash on the bed straight away and put my mask on. Likewise hated having to empty and dry the humidifier on the machine when I woke up to pack it to start my travels.
Ultimately having the same machine or similar machine is a good thing, that way if you have a bad night when traveling it's probably not down to the change in machines and more to the conditions where you are, e.g. stress, tiredness, hotel room temperature etc.
Thanks
Dave
