New Mask, New Problem

Post by Komodo » Sun Aug 29, 2010 6:41 am

I've been using a ComfortGel nasal, and a few days ago I switched over to a SoftGel nasal. I really like the SoftGel alot, but I've run into a small problem with it that I hope someone has the soultion for.

I sweat like a pig under the mask!!! So bad, that it wakes me up several times a night.
I tried lowering the humidity setting down to "1" (from "2") with no change. I then turned OFF the humidifier and STILL was drenched in sweat!

I've worn half a dozen different masks and never had this problem before. Could there be a problem with the vent on my mask? I ask this because, of all the masks I've worn before, the SoftGel pushes out a noticable lesser amount of air from the vent. Could my "sweat" actually be condensation from my exhalation???

I'd like to continue using the SoftGel, but not like this! Any help would be greatly appreciated

Have you thought about making yourself a remzzz type cloth to wick up the moisture? I do that with my quattro, I feel so much drier, have less "itches" & the soft cotton feels so much better against my face than the mask.
Good luck
Nan
