Wow, I cant believe this. A DME convert.. Where should I start.

1. Auto units are the way to go. Dont waste the patients money and time with a plain fixed cpap.

2. Don't price gouge. Be competitive with cpap.com.

3. Don't become an evil DME

4. Don't start with the cheap mask that doesnt work . Start with a mask like a Resmed activa or swift .

5. Heated humidification is a must.

6. Soft ware is a must.

7. Give ALL the manuals to the patient.

8. If you have any questions ask on this forum . Rested Gal and Wading Thru The Muck will be glad to assist.

9. The customer is always right

10. Drs dont know crap. They are necessary to get the Rx and sleep study.

Did I say the Customer Is Always Right

Cheers,

Chris

South Carolina the palmetto state

Guest,
We are located in Camden. Have not established a web site yet. Planning on covering the majority of the state. Most likely the rural regions. The major cities have the large companies that are profit seekers first. I am taking the other approach. Quality service, quality equipment and quality time. Doing the set up right the first time ensures better compliance and is cheaper in the long run when the patient is satisfied with their results....Automatic

Good luck. I can tell you that personal service does make a difference. I bought my CPAP machine from "Melbourne CPAP Services" which is a very small business run out his (Jeff Collings) home (a home-office) in Melbourne. He was so much help -- though he has the "advantage" of being a sleep apnea sufferer himself, so he could tell me what to expect, and that it would get better. He also tries out the machines himself on himself, so he really knows what's useful and what isn't.

However, even if you can't provide that level of service, one thing that was also really good that he did was that he worked well with the sleep specialist and for the first month I had to ring him up once a week to report on how it was going. That was how I came to decide to get a humidifier -- because the setup was flexible enough so that I felt confident of starting off without one, just in case I didn't need one, and then I simply got one.

Rubykat,
Thanks for the reply. I will be testing the Resmed autoset spirit tonight with humidaire 2i, and a mirage swift mask. I believe that if I can experience and touble shoot as you all do then I can better assist those in need....Automatic
