Very interesting article. That 15 minute time frame is a killer. As it is so obviously not in the best interest of the patient, why have we still got it

Fortunately for me, neither my regular GP, nor my Sleep Doctor, follow that rule. But I have met those who do

It is a very interesting article. I would think that most doctors would like the patient to be well informed about their conditions. It makes it easier all around for everyone. The thing I like about my primary care doctor is that she does not hide the fact that she does not know everything and is encouraging about patients who research their conditions. Most doctor's receptionists schedule appointment times and appointment times vary according to what you are being seen for, such as a physical requires more time than a med review does. I would think that you could request a longer time frame for a visit.
