S9 and o2

Post by Biggie_D » Tue Jun 01, 2010 8:45 pm

Does anyone know if there is an issue using o2 with the RESMED S9 Elite? If I have to get and use a o2 Concentrator will I have to swap my machine for something else? As far as I could tell its just a adapter that goes inbetween the Hose/mask and the o2 Line conects too.

Anyone here use o2 with there S9 or know that answer I have been looking via google and have not really seen much.

Thanks for your input/answers ahead of time.

The ResMed user instructions state that the ClimateLine hose is not compatible with supplemental oxygen.

You may be able to fit an adapter in between the hose and your mask.

Maybe ill just try to call Resmed tomorrow see what they say about it I would hate to have to give up my S9 if I have to be put on Supplemental Oxygen

You will NOT have to give up your Resmed S9 if supplemental oxygen is ordered. Your ClimateLine hose, yes, but not your S9. There is an adapter that fits on the humidifier in place of the regular hose and then the hose attaches to the other end of the adapter. Trust me, Resmed would NOT be so foolish as to spend all that money developing the S9 only to have it NOT be compatible w/02 supplementation when needed or indicated.

Hey, better to ask. That's what this forum is for ... to answer questions, hopefully solve problems and help us all acclimate to and get the most from our PAP therapy.
