The card is really small. About as wide as my thumb, but nowhere near as large as a credit card. I don't think it's even an inch long. Very tiny. It reminds me of a card you would use in a digital camera.
Let's say I got a reader and got the data off the card. Without the software, what exactly would I do with it? I'm semi-computer savvy and could probably import the data into a specific format, assuming my computer has the capability.

It is the same card that many cameras use. The "credit card" size i adifferent, larger one that the older machines use - taht you do not have.

You really need to run it through the Respironic s software. ou could either do that on your own machine if we got you teh software, or get the files to me or someone else who can try to run the reports for you. Then they would send the reports back to you in a PDF format.
You could e-mail the files, or post them to a file sharing site for someone to pick up to run through teh software. Or you could copy them to a CD (or another SD card) if there is another DME that might be willing to read them more often.
I know you were thinking about switching DMEs. I know that some DMEs will download data and run reports for their clients as often as once per week. You might only need to do that for a few weeks if you got to a steady state in your settings and weren't making changes (and your pulse oximeter showed consistently higher levels. You could use that as a "first line" check to make sure that you are still on track.)

Michael --
Thank you again for your information, help and support in this thread. I really do appreciate all you've said and done and what you offer to do to help me.
For now (and probably the next few days -- who knows) this is going to have to take a back seat to some family/parenting issues. We're having some emotional turmoil with one of our kids and I have been emotionally and physically drained beyond belief. I was so upset last night that I didn't even bother using the ventilator.
Right now, worrying about the settings, higher pressures, leaks, inspiratory time, rise time, overnight pulse ox tests -- I just don't care enough about any of this right now.
But I did want to let you know how much I appreciate the help Michael.

I am so sorry to hear about the family issues! As if you needed more stress, right?
We have an 11 year old, so it hasn't been too bad so far. But watching the neighbors, and thinkng back to my teen years... Makes you wonder why you ever went down that path ... But my son is also the best part of my life ...
I'll keep working on this on my end. Post or PM when you want to try getting the data read.
In the meantime - try to get some more sleep with the ventilator. Listen to some relaxation tapes, or meditate. And remember that we all made it this far, somehow ....
I hope you can all work through this! Best wishes.
Michael
