Best data ever ! 9th month !

Post by Spirit » Sun May 30, 2010 4:00 pm

Hi everyone,
My data was fantastic, upon waking. AHI 0.4 Best ever !!! Almost had a perfect night of sleep. Wish, I could share all my data, but data slowly improved over the past two months, been sleeping persistent 7-8 hours, sometimes 9,. The more I acquired sleep consistency, the better my data looked, the change I have noticed is, I am not waking up during sleep, I am dreaming consistently every night, and remembering my dreams. I haven't remembered dreaming in a few years, just falling asleep and waking up. I'm used to sleeping with mask, no more adjustments during sleep, or getting up to go bathroom occassionally.

Believe the fear of deep sleep is behind me now, I became an insomniac, fear of falling asleep, waking gasping for air. I am now finally at peace, with my air buddy cpap. I am confident, cpap keeps me breathing. So, in my case psychological effects, contributed to poor quality sleep.

I will be the first to admit, I was terrified of falling asleep. But now, I go to bed early, wake up early, like a normal person in society.

I've only seen my sleep doc once since, I began treatment. So, happy I took matters into my own care, I was afraid to tweak my own pressure, but info at the forum, some patience, and alot of reading, helped me achieve a positive goal.

Thanks again everyone. Good luck to all, on your journey.

WOW!!! Great night of sleep! 9 months, that's the point when I started being able to exercise without falling back into exhaustion. Went quickly from 5 mins on my exercise bike to 10 to 20 to 30 to 60 to 75 with a 5-10 min break at 45 mins as that's where cortisol levels start to soar skywards.

Did really well until I lost a lot of wt & ran into challenges; using on a data-less CPAP & being clueless, I had no idea what was happening with my therapy.

Anyway, what a great place to reach Spirit...nice to see that when your start was so challenging.

That's a BEAUTIFUL chart, Spirit! I know how much you've struggled to get to these good results. I'm sure glad you stuck with it, and I know you are too. Now you are truly enjoying life!
