LAX Airport Security Comments on S9

Post by billbolton » Sat May 29, 2010 9:54 am

I went through the Los Angeles Airport, Terminal 3 Security Screening Point this morning and my S9 created quite a bit of interest, as they hadn't seen one previously. Comments included:

"Hey, its so small" and "Wow, its very light"

The actual screening process was as usual, separate inspection for the flow generator, but no need to take anything else out of the ResMed bag.

Cheers,

Bill

It's been kind of fun watching the TSA learning curve. Now they're connoisseurs and critics.

Better that than completely uninformed! LONG ago (about 20 years back), I had an airport security person insist I plug in the unit. I cautioned her that she should move away from where she was ... the air outlet was pointing toward her face. She gave me a scowl and informed me "Just plug it in!". I did so, she fell backward in surprise due to the air. Life lesson: Learn when it's REALLY important to not say "I told you so" !!

So, TSA being interested in the interested in the CPAP units? A great change!

Yep, they have even become critical of each others genital size and I guess in some cases they might even be connoisseurs.

I will suggest that TSA is profiling all users of CPAP devices
