I know people spend a lot of time and money buying and thinking up fancy C-pap pillows to prevent the pillow from pushing on a nasal or FF mask when they are side lying.
I’ve got my bed pillow system all worked out (not a big problem with the Swift LT anyway, and my Tempurpedic contour pillow takes care of the rest) but if what I have wasn’t working, I think this might work:
I have a very nice U-(or C, depending on your point of view!) shaped neck pillow filled with buckwheat hulls. I’ve removed about a third of the hulls because it was too thick for my neck. I would lay that neck pillow on top of my regular pillow with the opening where the mask is, so that my forehead and lower face, above and below the mask, would be supported and nothing would press against the mask.
I think this would work fine. I haven’t tried it all night because I’m actually already extremely comfortable sleeping with my current pillow positioning and the addition of the neck pillow bends my neck at a bad angle (I don’t like sleeping on the buckwheat hulls, either, though some people really like it).
At a well known bed and bath shop last weekend, I even saw Tempurpedic U-shaped neck pillows like this for under $20. That seems perfect.
I never see that suggested here, and I was wondering if anyone’s tried it all night and whether it’s worked for them?
Has anyone tried this pillow idea?

Re: Has anyone tried this pillow idea?
I had seen somewhere - don't remember where - suggesting the use of the U-shaped pillows designed for travel. The problem for me is that the part where my head would go is too narrow - I kept falling off the pillow. If that makes sense. cpap.com does have some that are more X shaped and wider in the middle that might work, allowing for me to flip from one side to the other without having to also flip the pillow. I buy pillows like some other women buy shoes - and this began long before I got CPAP. I'm always looking for the perfect pillow and now it's even more important.
Re: Has anyone tried this pillow idea?
Yes, that makes sense that the pillow is a bit small. I tend to sleep in one position almost all night, so I don't think it would be as much of an issue for me. The bed and bath store pillows had longer "arms", so they might work. My buckwheat pillow is short and stubby (like my neck )
