S9 ?sleep data? question

Post by Gracey » Thu May 27, 2010 10:22 am

Hello all,

I just used my new S9 for the first time last night. I had a good sleep, and the machine functions beautifully. User interface is a breeze. I had been using a rental S8 for the last few months which is also a great machine.

I used to be able to read my stats for USAGE and EFFICACY on the previous S8 machine by pressing two buttons simultaneously. Each morning I relished knowing my usage in terms of time, and the efficacy. Leakage, pressure, AHI, HI and AI was something I looked forward to knowing before I started my day.

There does NOT seem to be this function for the S9... unless I buy the software for my computer to read the SD card which is plugged into the machine.

Is this true?

I really miss reading my efficacy statistics every morning. Having just spent a zillion bucks on the machine, I'm not prepared to spend even more for software just to regain something that I had enjoyed without the added level of a computer.

Thanks for any suggestions.

The S9 will give you AHI and hours used on-screen, use the info button on the top screen.

The S9 software is *free*, post in the S9 software thread to get a PM on how to get it.

Holding the info button and the button just below it down for 3 seconds will give you the clinical info screens with all the data you are looking for. You don't need the software to see it.

There's a setting in the machine for "Sleep Quality" that was turned off on my machine that you may want to turn on with yours (Hold down the knob and setup button for 3 seconds). If you turn that from "Usage" to "On", your machine will show you stats on the basic info menu.

I agree with the previous poster, if the DME turned the option to OFF you won't see your ahi, you just have to turn it back on.

Gracey, it looks like your have PM's disabled. If you turn it on and send me a message I'll send you a link to the clinician's manual and to where you can download the software.

To see the data you want hold the info button and setup button for 3 seconds. If that doesn't work then you need to go into the clinician's menu to activate it. Do that by holding the setup button and the big dial button for 3 seconds.

I'm still finding my way around all the buttons and sub-menus. I LOVE the S9.

Will get the Rescan 3.10 software later in order to view the data in greater detail.

I'm hungry for info!
It's become part of my morning ritual, along with the disassembling and cleaning of the necessary parts.
Charts and graphs! Bring it on
