I have been on Cpap for about three months, then went in again and was upped to a BiPap machine, about 3 weeks ago. I am still having a problems with waking up 2-3 hours in to sleep and taking off the mask.

My mask is nostril type, and I have just ordered new "Profile Lite Gel Mask " to see if that helps. When I sleep I do feel a little better, but it has not been that great as I had hoped.

Doctor also wrote me a script for meds to reduce restless legs.

I sent that off today so it will be a week before I can try it.

MartiniLover,

Love that martini glass logo you've got there!!

I've been on the bipap for about two months now. My pressure settings are 17/14. What are yours? (I told you mine, now tell me yours!! haha.)

I still struggle with the mask, waking up when the pressure gets to its max.

Good luck with yours.

Linda

Linda, I have a pressure setting of 14/9. I was regularly waking up, after about two hours, and taking off the mask. I am not quite sure why. I saw the doctor on Wednesday, and he said get over it. OK! So the last two nights, I have just rolled over, figuring I would lay there until I went back to sleep. Both times, I fell right back to sleep.

My mask in a nostril type, just a rubber hose up your nose............but I am going to try a different one that I have on order. Hopefully it will be comfortable.

I like the BiPap better than the CPAP and I don't have any problems with the pressure. When I made the switch I was at a pressure of 10 on the CPAP. It probably needed adjusting.

I also have the problem keeping my mouth shut. I have ordered a deluxe chin strap hoping that will either help, or turn me into a S&M person.

Good luck to you.
