The Total 360 barrier has been broken

Post by Joe50 » Thu Mar 18, 2010 4:35 am

I started out sleeping on my right side then I rolled left onto my back, then to my left side, and kept rolling and sleeping until I ended up back in the right side starting position with the hose wrapped completely around me.
First, I would like like to thank the people that made the 10 ft hose. Without you guys this would never have happened.
Second, I would like to thank resmed for inventing the mask that held up under the tremendous G forces that were reached while breaking this record.
Last, I would like to thank my sleeping coach who kept me motivated while training to set this record. Without her I would never have achieved the tremendous amount of upper body strength that it takes to acheive this record.
And as of right now I am retiring from competive sleeping to bask in my glory.
Also, I will not submit to a blood test for illegal sleep steroids. I never took them!

I read that apneac hose rolling will be a trial sport in the summer 2012 olympics in the UK. As the inventor of the Broken Total 360 and a pioneer in this sport, are you planning on competing? Knowing that your mask and machine are made by competing manufacturers, who will likely be your sponsor?

It is hard to say who might sponsor me but it really doesn't matter because I am retiring from competive hose rolling. It has taken a terrible toll on my body and since they instituted a bed dismount maneuver as part of the routine it takes me totally out of the running. My knees just won't stand up to the strain of trying to stick the dismount.

First let me congratulate you on participation in this very new cpap sport and your success in the competition. Now are you sure you want to retire? We need all the good cpap athletes we can get.

Perhaps coaching is on your horizon... with tryouts at your house...

All the really good cpap athletes say they are retiring -- only to come back a month before tryouts to overcome and win the gold or the championship ring. Will this really mean retirement for Joe50, or is this another media hype before the real push to win the CPAPalon in 2012? Paparazzi will be watching the Joe50 multi-acre sleep facility compounds in both Florida and Aspen for possible confirmation of his continued efforts to keep up training. Film at 11:00.

The retirement will stand. I now see myself as a torch bearer, coach, and emissary for the sport. Plus, I am writing a screenplay about my accomplishment that I hope will become a movie.

The advent of the 10 ft hose really revolutionized the sport. Twenty years ago we had to accomplish this fete without pulling the Cpap to the floor. Not an easy task by any means!

This is new?

Geesh I did 360's with a 6 ft hose my 2nd night.

And, to make it even harder, my 360's were head over heels.

Anybody can just roll over. Try 360'ing head over heels.

Now that's skill.
