Snore Wars

Post by mikemoran » Fri Oct 14, 2005 9:19 am

Coming soon to a theater near you.

Not so long ago, in a galaxy just down the block, there arose an Empire run by the Sleep Lords who invaded the bedrooms on every planet twisting the power of “The Snore” to their own evil gains. They controlled the masses by disrupting their sleep with torturous therapeutic devices that promised hope but always contained a subtle flaw that would strike at the worst moments.

Cranky as hell from lack of sleep, the people rose up to rebel and take their rest back into their own hands. The rebels have fought valiantly but have been almost completely overwhelmed by Drat Vapor and his Rainout Troopers. This brave troop has discovered the Empires plan to build the deadly “Leak Star”. This insidious weapon would bath a world with a ray that would even cause nasal pillows to leak and blow air into the unsuspecting victim’s eyes. Thus neutralizing all CPAPs and unleashing a wave of snores that would destroy the world.

The only hope is to find the last of the Bedi Knights to destroy the “Leak Star” before it is completed. Just before being captured Princess LayMeDownToSleepa records an message on her trusty droid REM-2-D-2 and he is sent with his companion droid CPAP-3-P-O to a distant moon of Nosnoreen.

This is where our saga starts following the adventures of Luke NoseBreather as he discovers his Bedi skills. Aided by his mentor Nosey Fan CanBlowMe he crafts his first laser hose and strikes out to save Princess LayMeDownToSleepa and the galaxy. Hiring San Snoro’s ship the “Mylenta Ambien”, crewed by the courageous Whoopie Sawslogga, they join the rebel forces.

Here Luke learns to fly the rebel REMStar Fighter and is soon in battle against the Empire’s Exhale-Wings. After crash landing he runs into Yoga, a Bedi Master, who is knowledgeable in all aspects of “The Snore” and the ancient arts of serenity. With Yoga’s final “May The Snore be with you” still echoing in his head, Luke heads off to fulfill his Bedi destiny.

I'm laughing so loudly that I'm scaring the dogs! They're barking and carrying on and annoying my wife.

Which only makes me laugh harder. .

And I was going to suggest we do like they do on Whose Line Is It Anyway, the improv TV show hosted by Drew Carey, with Ryan, Colin, Wayne Brady and a fourth, and throw out some suggestions at you, Mike, and see what story you can concoct from our subject lines. But here you are with five more titles that alone had me seriously laughing out loud. All I can say is, I laugh before I click on the thread when I see it listed amongst the others not even knowing what the post is going to say. I know I'm in for a stomach ache from the laughter. Thank you so much for keeping us all in stitches. You are very healthy for us all, sort of like a human vitamin.
