I use a F&P HC221 LE with Mirage swift nasal pillows. I have been on this for about 6 weeks. WOW what a difference in energy, enthusiasm, peace with my wife - but all you guys out there have heard this before. I have been looking at websites for more information and hosehead camraderie. Thanks for being out there - I AM NOT ALONE AND THIS IS NORMAL FOR OLD FARTS LIKE ME. I have also found out that some of my coworkers have been hoseheads for years - we are now bonded. I read somewhere that CPAPs have only been around since the early 80's - is this true? Does this mean that many people have suffered needlessly, or died as a result of OSA? I have also read that manu GPs do not quite understand the prevalence of OSA and its effects. Now that I am a disciple, there is a need to spread the word so that it becomes as natural a part of our discourse as 'wardrobe malfunction'.
(Thanks Peter)

Welcome Sean,
You are not alone at all. There are millions of us in hosehead land.
I once had a patient come into the lab for a titration study, a week after they were told that she had sleep apnea. Her and her husband looked worried. I told them that I too have sleep apnea, and their faces lit up. Instantly they did not feel alone. The wife/patient told me that they didn't know anyone that had sleep apnea.
There is a strong brotherhood amoung hoseheads. It is one of the coolest groups in the population
Welcome aboard!
Ted
