accuracy of xPAP pressure settings?

Post by ProfessorSleep » Thu Oct 06, 2005 7:58 pm

I saw some specs on a CPAP unit that lists it as having an accuracy of set pressure display of "+/- 1 cm H2O or +/- 10%, whichever is greater." This got me to wondering about accuracy of pressure settings in general, but I couldn't find specs on other machines. Has anyone actually checked their machines stated pressure, or any other comments on accuracy? Inquiring minds....

Build yourself a manometer . Water, tubing, and a ruler that measures in cm. SOmeone posted the thing a while back .

Yeah, I know. But I was hoping someone else already had done that and had some specs on different machines. I'll have to test my own, but am curious how they run in general.

Prof S -

Here are the calibrations I made on my newly delivered Remaster Auto w/CFLEX:

Off an average of 1.5 cm ... but that might matter on CPAP.[/img]
