OT: Fun with Ipods

Post by SnoozyWoozyCat » Thu Dec 10, 2009 8:06 pm

For the past few years for Christmas, my family and I have exchanged Cds we've burned with favorite ipod /mp3 playlists. Last year my contribution was my favorite female singers. But this year, I just can't seem to come up with any ideas (sleep deprivation has messed with my creative mojo ). Anyway, I thought it might be fun if we shared our favorite playlists or shared what's currently on our Cd players or turntables (my nephew was fascinated with my turntable the last time he came over, almost as enthralled as he was with the victrola in my dining room -- Now doesn't that make me feel old! ). Also, thought I'd share the fun MP3 player I found for him for Christmas:

He's 14, but guys never truly outgrow their love of legos -- do they?

Here's my 2008 Christmas Playlist:

Ditty Bops: Sister Kate
Rickie Lee Jones: Danny's Allstar Joint
Imogen Heap (Frou Frou): Let Go
Everything but the girl: Driving
Clannad: Harry's Game
Peggy Lee: Fever
Rosemary Clooney: Botch-A-Me
Nina Simone: My baby just cares for me
Billie Holiday: I'll be seeing you
Madeleine Peyroux: Dance me to the end of love
Shawn Colvin: The Story
Kate Bush: Experiment IV
Chrissie Hynde: Message of Love
Mindy Smith: Come to Jesus
Neko Case: John saw that number
Feist: I feel it all
Sia: Breathe Me

Okay -- I'm anxiously awaiting your playlists -- Christmas is just around the corner!

Carbonman, you need to make room for SnoozyWoozyCat's choice of the Ditty Bops, even if they are a far cry from everyone else on your list. You have to love a group that toured coast to coast traveling by bicycle, even if they didn't drag their gear in a couple of Burleys.
