I just had my pressure raised from 6cm to 8cm, due to the number of nightly AHI events I was having. Been struggling a bit with mouth leaks, and slept successfully with taped lips last night. Had vivid dreams like I haven't had in a long time, feel much more rested today, but my AHI is higher than when I had more leaks. My HI's are high, and I've read about the ResMed reporting differences (confusing), but still would like to get the AI's down. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Brian

If i were you I would work on that leak line first, and then make pressure changes in smaller increments. Good luck

I agree with Bob, but the graphs don't look all that horrible to me, especially 12/5/2009. More importantly, how do you feel?

I find that my AHI doesn't response for almost 10 days to incremental changes..........that's why I always appreciate tattooyu's quote on his page, "One day does not a trend make".......so give yourself some time.......work on leaks.......and be patient. We didn't get this way overnight, and we're not going to get out of this overnight..........but don't give up!

Thank you all very much. I'll take your suggestion and give it the 10 day window to measure any changes. I guess there's a lot of variables night to night that can have an effect on the breathing.
In response to your question, I'm feeling doggone great today! Been pretty well tired, frustrated and beat up the last 7-10 days, but there seems to be an improvement after using tape last evening. Felt ready to go get 'em this morning. I'm following some other suggestions as well.... ordered the Papcap and the Aussie hose, as rainout has been a huge problem.
My Sweetheart REALLY enjoyed seeing me with my mouth taped shut last night!

Speaking of variables, I've been wondering why the reports were showing higher leak/snore rates the last few days and my husband casually mentioned that he wasn't applying his Ayr Nasal Gel lately because he didn't think he needed it! Yes, it does take a few days for changes to settle into a pattern.
