Ever dream about CPAP therapy?

Post by timbalionguy » Thu Dec 03, 2009 3:18 pm

I had an interesting dream a few nights back. I dreamed that I had my mask on, and that the air the machine was providing smelled as if I had not cleaned the hose in a long time. A kind of musty, moldy smell. While contemplating what a bummer it would be to have to clean the hose on a morning when I needed to be on-time to work, I woke up.

Any other experiences out there?

Ha ha ha, not yet! But now that you've planted the idea in my brain, it probably won't be long.......

Both are just so incredible.

A dream session found me confronting two aliens.....
you know the ones that look like the area 51 aliens.
My perspective was through my mask......like I was
literally inside this giant mask, looking out...
but it was my cpap mask.
I was afraid and they were talking and pointing at me,
but I couldn't hear what they were saying.
As my fear grew, they suddenly started to leave.
Then I heard one of them say,
"It is not one of them."......and all my fear went away.

It was one of those dreams that are so vivid and real,
they are imprinted in your brain.
I believe what it meant is this:
I am firmly convinced that cpap, specifically my mask,
is and has saved my life. It saved me from the aliens, OSA.
It saved me because, as they looked at me, in my mask,
I don't look human. They didn't take me because,
"it is not one of them(humans)."
"If your therapy is improving your health but you're not doing anything
to see or feel those changes, you'll never know what you're capable of."
I said that.

My second night on cpap, I dreamed I was an astronaut, does that count?

Yep -- a week or two ago, I dreamed I was explaining the mask to someone. I actually took that as a very good sign -- that I was starting to accept the whole hosehead lifestyle even in my subconscious.

Well, you did it. I had a cpap dream last night. I dreamed I took the mask off in the middle of the night. I've never done that. But the dream was so real that I was surprised to find the that mask was still on when I woke up this morning.

I have! I have!

My dream was that I was hanging out with one of my favorite actresses (can't remember who) -- it could have been a conglomeration of a few of them. We were talking and just chillin' when she asked me about that strange contraption next to my bed. I explained it to her, and she thought it was "cute".

You can use your imagination where the dream went from there...

Last night, I dreamed that I was trying to talk on the phone but my son kept making a very annoying whistling sound and would not stop despite my repeated requests for him to do so. The dream seemed incredibly real to me (especially the part where my 5 year old would listen to me). As you probably guessed, the whistling was coming from my mask, which is usually better behaved than my dear boy.
