I had AHI <1!
Just two nights, but this is pretty exciting for me.
I'm still averaging in the 2s or November, but a couple in the 1s crept in, and then those two <1.
After a recent thread chatted about looking at the data and then deciding how you're really feeling I've stopped looking at and recording the machine averages in the morning (they don't match the recent night anyway). I'm continuing to track changes in my setup, disturbances in the early morning, my daily sleepiness on awakening and throughout the day, and I'm downloading the detailed data every 5 days or so unless there is reason to do otherwise.

Hooray for low numbers! May yours continue!!

Re: I had AHI <1!
I'm happy for you too! So...everyone always asks.....how long have you been on the hose...so we know about how long it takes to get those kinds of numbers! Ignoring the fact, of course, that everyone is different! How long did it take YOU?

Sweet! Rock on wit yo bad CPAP self!
Since last Thursday my AI has been 0.0 except for last night which was 0.1, but so what, right? I haven't had a positive jump in therapy like this since I first started (that initial night-and-day difference).

Congratulations!
And if I hadn't read this thread, I wouldn't have known how big a deal it is ... 'cuz I've had <1 every night since I started APAP three weeks ago, and just kind of assumed that was how it works. I had no idea how lucky I've been with all of this. Talk about taking good stuff for granted! Sheesh, what was I thinking?! Gonna go practice my gratitude now ...

Re: I had AHI <1!
Thank you, all! My excitement yesterday was followed by a suck-y day today in which I have been pretty much tired all day. My AHI was 1.0, and I actually attribute today to the fact that I got up unusually early (which I reported before) and had to do so again today for an early meeting. I did go to bed early (9:30), had my usual multi-wakes in the early morning, and I think today is the reaction to getting up earlier than 6am two days in a row for the first time since returning to work. I'm not worried. You know you'll get frantic posts from me when it's panic time.
As to the question how long did it take, at just about 2-1/2 weeks into treatment (September 26) I had both mask and setting "right" for me. So you're talking about two months to get to where I am now. The very last tweak I made was not to my CPAP equipment or mask. I've been sleeping on a sleep wedge. I first removed my pillow entirely (eliminating neck and back muscle aches that crept up on me), then I experimented with using just the edge of a contour foam pillow discarded from earlier experiments to support me on my side. I haven't been much on my back lately--maybe that's the improvement, or maybe it's just a question on settling in.
Thanks again, everyone, for the great support in this thread and earlier.

Scarlett, congrats on your numbers. It's always exciting when you can obtain great numbers. But the more important part is, how are you feeling?

Re: I had AHI <1!
Except for today, pretty darn good!
For now I don't discern a huge difference between an individual 2.5 night or a 1.0 night in terms of how I feel in the daytime. But once I saw the numbers I could back into how the nights themselves went and recognize the differences, if that makes sense. Once I stabilized at 2.5 and lower I was feeling very, very well during the day barring bouts with the flu and the like.

Re: I had AHI <1!
Even with an AHI 2.5, that is still great. Remember, you WILL have bad nights -- I go through short periods of bad nights that seem to correlate 1:1 with my digestive problems -- so don't sweat those.
