One year and one day on here, and counting...

Post by hose head » Wed Dec 02, 2009 9:43 pm

I joined Dec. 1, 2008. I was a zombie. Nine months into treatment and I felt worst than before I started. I had a basic no data machine and I was using a liberty mask that would end up on the floor before the night was half over. I started reading online forums and decided to take charge of my therapy. I went to Doctor and got a script for auto. And mask of my choice. My pressure had been set at 9 and most nights I am over that sometimes going to 13. I now have my AHI under 3 (with ResMed AutoSet II). I switch between Activa and Swift for her. I have a hose hanger and have sewn my own hose cozie. I start the night with a drop of lavender and I feel so much better than I did a year ago.

I am still learning how to live with OSA but life is so much better. I want to thank the folks here who offered hope and advise. I will sticking around another year and see what I can learn and what I can share.

M.

M, good for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What an empowering thought you expressed: "decided to take charge of my therapy."

Congrats on your one year and one day now. May you have many, many years of treating yourself well!
