Why are you skipping nights? The answer to that question will help us help you. (Is your mask uncomfortable? Feeling claustrophobic? Not feeling any better yet?)

Also, it'll help us help you if you register for the forum (it's free) and fill out your Profile (under User Control Panel, top left of page). Tell us what equipment you're using, your pressure, other details like whether you're using a heated humidifier (and at what setting), anything else pertaining to your therapy that's useful to know so we can address whatever issue(s) you're having. There's lots of help to be had here, so welcome, gerrisue.
Veni, vidi, Velcro. I came, I saw, I stuck around.

Dx 11/07: AHI 107, central apnea, Cheyne Stokes respiration, moderate-severe O2 desats. (Simple OSA would be too easy. ;))

PR S1 ASV 950, DreamWear mask, F&P 150 humidifier, O2 @ 2L.

Why are you skipping nights? Are you having problems with the interface or are you forgetful, wake up with it off what's going on?

Gerri, if you're new like me, it's simple: the mask is still not part of your normal behavior.

About a week ago, I had my best night (up to then), and was aghast after I set everything up the next night, cleaned the mask, shaved, washed, degreased, yada yada -- and then promptly fell asleep without donning the mask.

Let's face it, it's unnatural, and adaptation is slow for some of us.

But there is light at the end of the tunnel. The thing to remember -- put up a sign on your bedroom door if need be -- you suffer from a chronic illness that has damaged you, perhaps for years, and a highly effective treatment for that illness is sitting right beside your bed.

Remember to avail yourself of that huge blessing!

Are your skipped nights a conscious choice? The many nights I didn't put on the mask, I went to bed with the best intentions. Instead of sitting on the side of the bed to mask up, I had to start standing to do it to keep from falling asleep before I could slip it on. If you are deciding to sleep without it, what is your thought process in making that decision?

Oh, just dawned on me that by skipping nights you might be referring to lost nights of data, common to certain softwear. Please clarify.

Welcome to this cpap community, sorry to hear you're not having fun yet.

Kathy

Yes.....please clarify what you mean.
If you have a data-capable REMstar M Series machine, that's a known problem with them to drop two nights of DETAILED data. (the compliance data is still there)

Thanks, Kathy, for thinking of that possibility.
