Small and low profile nasal mask ???

Post by snamvar » Mon Jan 10, 2005 7:27 pm

What is a good and small nasal mask? I have Comfort-Gel mask which is pretty good, but kind of bulky. The mask covers my nose completely. I like a mask to cover the tip of my nose only and be small.
I have heard a lot about the Activa amd Ultra Mirage masks. Does any of them fit the above description?
Thanks for the input.

snamvar, this is my very subjective opinion. ResMed's Activa and Ultra Mirage nasal masks are rather bulky. They'd definitely cover your whole nose, not just the tip of your nose. But, my gosh, are they comfortable! Much more comfortable, compared to other brands of nasal masks - on me anyway. I'd far rather wear a comfortable "bulky" mask than many of the smaller masks that I've tried which leak or leave marks on me. It's a very, very subjective thing though...how a particular mask suits this person but not that person. Expensive experiments!

Hello

I am small nasal mask user, I gotta admit that I have found the Profile Lite Gel mask very comfortable on my "snoz" As I gotta small round face. I took a while to get used to it. I am on my 3rd mask as I liked my current brand I am using.

People have they own taste on what masks suits them best, if they hate masks properly nasal pillows is a opion to nasal mask. Depends on the wearer's facial features on selecting what mask fit the best with minimal air leaks.

However there is a certin company that manufature nasal masks to your face shape, this like fitting a pair of false teeth. As the mask is molded to your facial shape. Here is the address of the company:

http://www.sleepapenamasks.com.au Ph: 02-4465-1508 [Aus]

This was found in the Dec 2003 Volume 7 -Number 6 Bi-monthly Newsletter of Sleep Disorders Australia known as SDA news.

Ask them from more info on nasal mask manufatures goodluck!
