Optilife cradle cushion

Post by newname » Wed Nov 25, 2009 1:39 pm

Does this mask feel better than the Comfort Lite 2? The CL2 doesn't seem to stay put and its a big thing to put on my head.
I'd like to try the Optilife with the cradle cushion because I don't feel the nasal pillows are that secure and they leak. Anyone using the cradle nose cushion, please tell me if you like it or not.

I'm not using the OptiLife nasal cradle cushion now but I did try it several months ago and rather liked it. I found that it seemed like I was receving considerably more pressure from my xPAP than I was w/my usual Simplicity simple nasal cushion (which I tried thanks to the CL2 simple nasal cushion). I was asked to try the Swift LT for Her shortly after trying the OptiLife nasal cradle cushion and never did get back around to trying the OptiLife nasal pillows. I did NOT experience that feeling of extra pressure w/the Swift LT for Her like I did w/the OptiLife nasal cradle cushion.

I went back to my beloved Simplicity simple nasal cushion after trying out the Swift LT for Her until just recently I've tried the ProBasics Zzz-Mask full face. Surprisingly I really like the Zzz-Mask full face! I had some fun w/the headgear which is too large at first but I really like this mask. And - strangely enough, the Zzz-Mask also gives me that sensation of an extra cm or two of pressure as the OptiLife did. I didn't experience it when I tried out the Quattro but I definitely do w/the Zzz-Mask and the OptiLife nasal cradle cushion.

Hi Slinky,

I started with the OptiLife cradle cushion, and used it for about two weeks. For me, (probably my nose/face shape), it worked comfortably only if I didn't move at all. If I raised my head or turned it leaked. Also, it put quite a bit of pressure on my upper lip.

However, the air flow was comfortable--no air hunger, even with a flow of 5. I've switched to using the nasal cushions with the OptiLife, and I get a better fit.

Good luck to you,

Happy Sleeper
