Mask riding up

Post by swampguy » Mon Nov 23, 2009 5:59 am

Hello I am new here but not new to cpap. I have been using one over 10 years. I started with nasal pillows then switched to the a Comfort Gel mask by Resperonics. I still have problems after all these years but the benifits sure out weigh the problems. Here is my question:

I use a Comfort Gel nasal mask and have trouble with it riding up and pressing againest my nose. It cuts of the air and I wake up sucking in mask Has anyone else had this problem? What should I do?

I have the same mask, and the same "problem", although it doesn't bother me all that much.

I have found, that if I position the lower half of the headgear lower on the back of my head (almost on my neck), and tighten it a little more, it helps keep the top half in place. Having the whole headgear staying where it belongs, stops the mask from riding up on my face.

If that doesn't help, I've got a staple gun you can borrow!
