I have a friend that is suppose to be on a Sleep Apnea Machine and she does not have insurance nor enough money to purchase one.

What funding is available to her?

Check out Yahoo auctions. There are many new cpaps for $150 +/-

Otherwise her best bet is to try to find a second hand machine from someone who has a spare.

Severeena, Wader had good suggestions.

As for asking around to see if anyone has a spare machine or one that's sitting in a closet unused even though they should be using it.... perhaps put the word out at area churches. Ask that the request be announced, if possible. Word might get around faster that way. Might even make a few more people aware of OSA as the whispers go through the congregation..."What's a see-pap machine?"
