loaner grumble

Post by catbirdgirl » Fri Oct 30, 2009 10:10 pm

yay, I got a free loaner while my apap got sent back to resmed for fixing.

but... I don't like it!

yes, I had an apap that adjusts pressure, but this apap has a breathy feeling like in/out, that I don't like. it's a respironics apap, and I'm not sleeping as well. I'm used to a pretty steady pressure even with my apap, and the last 3 days I had switched to straight pressure starting at 7 and ramping up to 10, and slept VERY well.

I think I'm gonna go see if they left me the manual so I can see why it's breathing like that. and maybe I will fix it.

the loaner is a remstar series M autopap. I just turned the Cflex down to level 1. that seems to help a bit. I think the pressure needs raising, but the tech wont do that without a prescription, which I understand... but does anyone know how to raise the base pressure a bit (from 5!) so I can have the base level not make me feel like I have NO air!
