I woke up at 4 am and just couldn't tolerate having the mask on. It's the first time since I started this journey in January that I removed the mask and went back to sleep.
I had rainout for the first time in ages. I was frustrated with having to sleep attached to lottsa equipment. I just wanted to be normal...
Needless to say, it was hard to get up in the morning. And I'm feeling tired.
So I'm venting.

Re: my first time backsliding
We all have bad nights now and then...gotta keep reminding yourself that the frustating gear is keeping you alive while you sleep. Frustration with the whole setup's gotta be balanced with the reminder that you live with a potentially fatal condition that has effective treatment. Doesn't cure the frustation but it makes it easier to keep the mask on and the xPAP on.

Re: my first time backsliding
With the season changing now weatherwise, yeah, rainout can happen. I know, a real bummer when you've been smooth sailing. Just remember, you're on a journey, and you just hit a bump in the road. Gotta get up, dust yourself off, and move on. Feel free to vent.
Having a bad night, should reinforce all of the good nights you've had over the past months. This is just an isolated event. Hang in there.

Thanks for the encouragement.
And also the reminder that the change of season is significant - it was the first really chilly nite and yet not cold enough for heat.
Fortunately, it's a lot warmer today.
