Sleep Wizard (looks like a soft band that wraps from the top of your head to your chin to keep your jaw shut)
Anyone that tried the Sleep Wizard hoping you wouldn't have to use the CPAP machine again and found it obviously didn't work, well I found another use for it.
I just got a full face ResMed Ultra Mirage which lets the air in the cheek sides when moving around at night. I was awake for a long time last night thinking, so I took my Sleep Wizard and wrapped it around my head from the mask area to the back of the head. It totally sealed up the air escaping from the sides of the mask so I could fall back asleep.
I still have one problem. Does anyone seem to swallow a lot of air at night?
So far the best night I had was with my nasal mask and tape over my mouth to stop the air which leaks out my mouth, which I am a little nervous about. I have been reading about trying to push your tongue in the right spot to block the air but when I fall asleep and relax, the air comes back out my mouth and wakes me up again. Feeling very tired today and it's Saturday and I should be doing fun things but don't have the energy.
Look forward to any response.
Lisa

Heretolearn,
I am trying to get used to a full face mask to overcome the mouth leaks waking me but tonight I will go to the nasal and the tape because I desperately need to get a few hours of sleep. I don't know how everyone is doing this? The sound of the air, the mask moving when you turn on your side, my back is sore trying to stay in one position.
I have only used the nasal mask with the tape one other night and it was one of my better nights. I am concerned of the safety issue. Are you waking up rested with the nasal mask and the tape? Have you tried the full face mask yet?
Good to hear from you.
