Screwed up sleep cycle

This is all kind of a first for me. Prior to cpap I never had a normal night sleep. Usually it was off to bed around 2 am and up at 6am, nap during the day, etc. I have never ever gone to bed at a regular hour.

Since starting cpap, I'm usually in bed around or before midnight. Some nights as early as 9pm once the younger kids are in bed. I'm not used to needing this much sleep but have found that I do need a solid night now or I feel like hell the next day now.

Anyhow. Kidlet #2 had a night shoot on Friday. We were filming until 3am and got home around 3:30am (talk about walking dead at that point). I slept until 11am when my husband decided I needed to get up or throw off my internal clock. Problem was the little ones were noisy prior to that and I really didn't sleep well past 7:30am. I got up at 11, and sort of walked around in a daze.

Got back to set at 4pm with the lad. He went off to film (which I normally watch) but I was sooo tired I couldn't keep my eyes open. I fell asleep slouched over a table for an hour and felt better after that. I was a little embarrassed actually and asked one of the dads who was beside me if I snored, he said nope so phew.

Here is the thing. Saturday night we actually wrapped reasonably early and was home by 9:30ish. I wound down and went to bed. Had an awful night sleep. Woke up all night. Checked my data, no apneas or anything of consequence. Same thing last night. Fitful, restless sleep.

Has anyone had to adjust after pulling close to an allnighter? How long does it take to get your system back to normal?

Prior to cpap I could pull all nighters if I needed to, next day I could recoup. If I know I'm going to need to be up really late or do a night shoot again type thing, iis there a way I can plan ahead of time to make recovery a little smoother?

Not sure if it applies to anyone but me: following one or more bad nights of sleep or short sleep, I need a night or 2 of 10+ hrs of sleep to recover. Could be 'cause I'm still recovering back to where I was last Feb when I had my loose lips detour, the upgrade to the Hybrid mask, having just broken my wt loss stall that started last Feb & am losing wt again, started taking Iodoral, started taking levothyroxine, having a high-protein shake for b'fast which ups my protein while reducing carbs & fat (works for me YMMV). When I know I'm gonna have a demanding or esp long day, I try to sleep a bit longer for several days ahead of time to ensure I'm esp rested...seems to help.

If I know I'm gonna be up later than usual I take a nap earlier in the day(with mask and machine of course). I find it easier to get some extra sleep before hand than trying to catch up later. My body has learned that mask + machine = good sleep, so even if I don't feel very tired, once the mask is on I'm asleep within minutes.
If I can't plan for a late night it can take a couple days of extra naps to get caught up.
