childrens cpap masks

We have a 4 1/2 year old that needs to wear a cpap mask. We have had it for 4 months and he has only been willing to wear it for 7 hours. We need help! Do you have any ideas how to help a 4 year old understand why he needs to wear it, and how to get him to keep it on? HELP!
