OT-Has anyone used Deplin?

Post by newname » Sat Oct 17, 2009 2:37 pm

It's a form of L-Methylfolate for people who do not process Folic Acid properly. It works as an anti-depressant along with your regular anti-depressant. It enhances it. I tried a 7 day sample and I have a script for a 30 day supply, but insurance doesn't cover it. I was wondering if any of you have had success with it before I buy it. I don't feel the 7 days was enough to se if it works because I only took a half tablet each day to make it last longer.
I found a web where about 7 people tried it and felt fantastic, but that's not enough people's opinions as far as I'm concerned.

If 100 people were to try a drug and 99 said they liked it, it still would not mean the 100th person would agree, or be unaffected by side effects. This is no way to use medication and you yourself didn't even give it a proper trial, finances aside, by taking only half a pill for only 7 days. It's not like trying on a dress to get different opinions - it's going to affect your unique physiology and no one else's. What you might have achieved so far is to discover that it didn't create a terrible reaction in you, but beyond that, not a whole lot else. You are the only one who can decide what's effective for you and what isn't, and what does and does not react badly with your system. Sorry to sound so mean, but you probably know what I mean and just wish you didn't .
