Ontario ADP funding
Re: Ontario ADP funding
The Ontario ADP will not help out when you purchase online. You have to buy from an Ontario Provider.
Were you prescribed a Bipap? I expect you were since you bought one online. I expect you need a Bipap prescription to even buy one online.
If you were prescribed a Bipap after your sleep study, you would have saved a good bit by buying from an Ontario Provider. With a Bipap prescription, the ADP would have paid a very good amount towards that type of machine. If you have an Extended Health Plan they would have paid for a good amount (maybe all) of the remaining amount after the ADP funding was applied. Even without an Extended Health Plan, you may have paid more online than you would have paid getting your first machine from an Ontario Provider and the ADP funding. I'm not sure about that but probably.
I always advise people in Ontario to buy their first machine anyway through an Ontario Provider and take advantage of that ADP funding. I am assuming this is either your first machine or your first Bipap. Either way, ADP would have paid quite a good amount towards that purchase. If you already had a Bipap and just bought a different one online, you cannot get help from ADP in that case either.
If you have the prescription (I assume you do) you could go to an Ontario Provider and check out what the ADP would pay for a Bipap and get a backup. That might be worth looking into.
