I don't have any software yet, but my DME provided me with a copy of the download that they will provide my Dr. I'll post a summary here, can anyone help me to understand it-please
This is the average of 30 days of data, with min/max. EPAP/IPAP is 13/17cm
Average breath rate: 14.9 bpm; min/max: 14/16
Avg. Tidal Volume: 502.8 ml; min/max: 410/613.3
Avg % patient triggered breaths: 79.8%; min/max: 65.3/83.3
Peak Flow: 35.8 lpm; min/max: 30/37.9
Leak: 50.8; min/max: 45/61.8
Avg. apnea count: 185; min/max: 38/312 (min was a night I only got about 1 hour sleep-got called in to work. Otherwise min was about 80)
Do these numbers seem OK or is there something I need to discuss with my Dr.? I realize this is a short summary, I'll provide more info if needed. The report does include the printouts of the last seven or so days.
Thank you,
Glenn

Not even on the daily pages? Hmmm... did you get daily pages?
Can you scan and post what you got (take your name off, of course)

Well, an AHI of 5 or less is the goal we usually shoot for. That goal amounts to 5 or fewer apneas/hypopneas per hour on average.ProudDad wrote: Avg. apnea count: 185; min/max: 38/312 (min was a night I only got about 1 hour sleep-got called in to work. Otherwise min was about 80)

However, your average apnea count per night is 185. Let's plug that 185 apnea number into these three hypothetical sleep scenarios: 1) you hypothetically sleep 5 hours per night on average, 2) you hypothetically sleep 7 hours per night on average, and 3) you hypothetically sleep 9 hours per night on average.
Plugging that 185 total-apnea number into those three sleep-scenarios above would yield these three hypothetical AHI scores: 1) AHI=37, 2) AHI=26.4, 3) AHI=20.5.
We can see that you and your doctor should continue working toward finding better therapy for your Complex Apnea under all three scenarios---and all possible scenarios in between. The above hypothetical AHI scores factor only apneas. If you incur hypopneas as well (a likely scenario) then your AHI scores would be even higher than those three hypothetical calculations above.
Good luck working with your doctor toward finding better therapy.
