That's what I was going to suggest, too. I started off with the Ultra Mirage Full Face (UMFF) and have not found a better one.

I see you've read and posted to the head/bed pillow thread.

A little over a year ago, I wanted to see how a regular bed pillow would work again......it didn't. I had lots of mask leaks and had to go back to my Chiroflow pillow in the middle of the second night. I've never tried any of the other ones that are supposed to be designed for this therapy, but I do know that regular pillows can be horrible for getting this therapy to work.

Yes, I have watched the video for fitting the Quattro Mask. I guess I must try watching it again as I find it a pain to not get this mask to not leak unless you tighten up the screw on my head. Maybe the doctor gave me the wrong size mask. How do you tell what size of Quattro mask they gave me?

There is a fitting template on the ResMed web site that you can print and cut out. It is based on distance between the top of the nose and the dimple between lower lip and chin. I took it for granted that I was a large because I have a big head, but but the template said medium and that's what fit. I later tried a large and it was too large. As for the size of the mask you have, I thought mine had an M molded into it somewhere, but I don't have it with me and I could be wrong.

Just took your advice and used the template. I am somewhere between small and medium. At home, I just took a look at the mask and it has a big "M" printed on the seal. so I guess the fit must be right. I am going to try tonight at keeping the straps not so tight.

Well, last night went a little better as I spent some extra time at fitting the Quattro mask. I took people's suggestions and to not overtighten the straps. It did take me several attempts to stop any side leaks. The mask did wake me up a couple of time since it stated making noises from my lower jaw. This was due to my mouth muscles relaxing which caused a break in the seal. Apart from tightening the lower straps would it be advisable to get a chin strap?

Also, not have the straps and front screw not so tight did alleviate the sore nose bridge and red marks on the face. My nose bridge is almost back to normal color, part of this could be due to me using the hospital tape on my nose and the moleskin inside the mask. Things are starting to improve. Again, thanks for all who have come up with some good suggestions at solving my issues.

Now, I just wish the CPAP could control mother nature as we had a severe thunderstorm roll through at 1am. This woke me up causing me not to be able to get back to sleep.

fsmitty, you may want to try Remzzzs at some stage. I feel less leakages with these liners, and I usually sleep on the side. And the feeling on the skin is really great, I don't have marks (but didn't suffer from marks before neither, with the Quattro).

Good luck

At the end of the day, if this mask doesn't work out for you, you may want to give the Hybrid a try. I'm just saying, it skips the whole nose problem.
I hope you can get the quatro to work for ya.
Also, you dont need to buy products to pad that area.
Moleskin works better than anything else and you can meke it as thick as you need by folding it over.

Yes, I will take the cheaper route to getting the mask comfortable. The sleep doctors office mentioned moleskin to me. My nose bridge is also not so red and appears to be healing. That is thanks to me using 3m waterproof hospital tape. When it comes to the mask, I am still trying to figure out the best way to get it to fit. It is a learning curve. I go back to the doctor in 2 weeks and will ask for a mask change if I can't get used to this one in say another week or so. My father had problems with his full face and uses a nasal pillow. The sleep clinic said that I am mouth breather and will need to have a full face mask. I will check out the hybrid types on the internet.
