Answer to Auto feature on Remstar Pro from manual

Peter

Straight from the manual.

Set the Patient Disconnect Alert ( in the window of the machine you will see a 0 or 1 with a little person underneath)

The patient disconnect setting will appear. This setting has two functions. When a large, continuous air leak (such as mask removal) has been detected in the circuit, it enables/disables the audible alert (a beeping sound) and the Auto-off feature which allows the REMstar Pro with C-flex to automatically turn the airflow OFF. The patient also has access to this setting in the Patient Setup Menu.

1=on 0=off

Peter, I always have mine set to 1 so that the machine will beep to remind me that I have taken my mask off in my sleep so that I awake totally and put it back on.

It has nothing to do with Autopap machines. We have a set pressure setting that does not change automatically unless we physically change it.

Hope this answers your question.
