Swift on eBay

Post by Sleepless on LI » Fri Sep 09, 2005 6:49 pm

There are two brand new Swifts on eBay, one ending in 11 mins. for $82 and another with a Buy It Now for $60. Just thought someone may be interested. Put in "nasal pillows" under the search field.

Absoltively, posilutely!!! I used to by a cynic, but I found you can get some incredible deals on all sorts of things. I don't buy used and I make sure the seller has excellent feedback before I'll bid. And one great piece of advice is, always pay with PayPal as they protect you if you have a problem. You can start a dispute and if the seller can't provide satisfactory rebuttal, PayPal will refund your money. Can't lose that way. I've had it happen.

Yahoo Auctions also has some really good deals, but not as much to offer as eBay, IMHO.

I got the $60 dollar one last night. And ordered the Dr. Sue mouthpiece from hawaii.

Going to try to get away from using the FF mask.

If you want to get some really good deals on eBay use HarveX. I've made some fantastic buys with it. It runs in the background and posts your bids during the last few seconds of the auction. Plus its got a great search feature.

I'm a fan as well, have a 168 feedback rating. PayPal protects somewhat but I have not had the same luck as you, I find that Meg Whitman always sides in her best interest. It's not as fun and safe as in years past and it is starting to stink as a seller their fees are so high.

Yahoo is the next best as is Amazon.

I guess eBay is relaxing their ban on cpap as I've been seeing a lot of stuff again.

Can't use sniper software as I got fed up with Windows and absolutely love my Mac. But I have never felt the need to, my Mac with Tiger is super fast!

I always get nervous the last few seconds of the auctions and hit the wrong keys, so the Harvex really helps me. Especially if I'm not home.

Anyways, I got the $60 dollar Swift and it arrived as stated in original packaging, unopened.

I slept with it for the first time last night and my AHI was 1.9, snore index dropped about 200 points so I guess my Resmed FF may be contributing to some of that high snore count (over 200) which causes AutoPap to run the pressure to max most nights. Or, having pressure applied through the nose and mouth may be causing me lots of light snoring during the night. I'm not sure.

Since I started with the AutoPap I've managed to tweak my AHI from around 9 to between 4 and 5 consistently using the FF mask. So if my one night test of the Swift proves accurate I might be able to lower that 1.9 even lower which would be super neato!

Oh! Also my leak index was much lower with the Swift, which means my open mouth breathing may be gone, that's why I switched to FF in the first place.

That DR. Sue mouth piece I ordered may not ever even need to be used, when it arrives.

I like these forums, I've really picked up a LOT of good info that has led to results like these!!

jdacal.
Holy cow, down to 1.9? Not a bad first night at all. Isn't the Swift an easy to wear mask? I really like mine a lot. Been wearing it almost two months without the need to switch off to another mask. And I found it wasn't hard on the nares to get used to.

Tonight I embark on a new advernture, the Aura. I hope I get as much success as I did with the Swift, but that's a lot to ask. Two masks in a row with great success? I couldn't be so lucky.

Keep up the great work, j...

Thanks LI!

I held off on the Swift for quite a while because I thought it would be uncomfortable from looking at the pictures, but it is light, doesn't cover a lot of your face, and not very painfull on the nose. At least it doesn't leave that tire tread scar that my FF mask has been gradually creating on the bridge of my nose for a couple of years now.
