verse that gets worse

Post by macoil2 » Sat Sep 10, 2005 10:49 pm

If I didn't have apnea
I'd be a lot happier

I'd pay a heap,
for a good night's sleep

What rhymes with apnea?
find a word that's not absurd

The cleaning lady came today
she marveled at my sleep array
a hose, a mask, a machine
a bizarre situation
that makes for maximum, frustration

If I didn't have a cpap
I'ld be choking to death

Slowly but surely
Being squeezed out of breath

The breath that brings oxygen to all my tissues
And boy, would I then start having issues!

My chances of being handicapped would grow
A stroke would make me so terribly slow

The frustration of not being able to walk
The fury of not being able to talk

I might lose my abilty to even clean my teeth,
My nearest and dearest will be thinking of wreathes...

I prefer the hose, machine and mask
And explaing to the cleaning lady
Or friends
Or children or grandchildren
Should they ask.

O.

Scuse me for this little nonsense rhyme, the inspiration just hit me

If it isn't just little its probably tall
There's always a something waiting to call
Sometimes its good and somtimes its bad
It can be quite happy or can make us sad

The things that we deal with, the way that we cope
They can be quite different, a cliff-face or slope
By climbing these mountains as they appear
We learn to move forward and overcome fear

Life often shows us that when it comes easy
We don't grow our wisdom, life is too breezey
Its dealing with issues no matter what size
That gives us most purpose, we know we're alive!
