Would like to get my machine readings...

This is my first post. I began my therapy 2weeks ago, and I have a question (well, a few, but will start with this one) about retrieving data from my machine. The machine has a card in it, but when I called my DME to ask about retrieving data, I was told that the only info I could get was just the basic usage info. I would like to be able to see what my leaks are, and all that other "good stuff". I have a Respironics BiPAP Auto M-series with bi-flex. Was the person at my DME just mis-informed? Can someone tell me how I could get the "good stuff"?

You need a PC, the software, and the specific card reader that's compatible with the software - look at Cpap.com under Software down the left side.

Yes, the DME was lying. What else is new?

This is the software and card reader at our sponsor site. The Respironics machines need a specific card reader. You can't use a different one.

Thanks for the link...I'll have to check it out later when I get home. I just want to make sure I am understanding correctly...when I get the card reader, and the software, I'll be able to hook it up to my laptop and put the card from my BiPAP into the reader and retrieve the leaks, etc...

No, the leaks are gone into thin air.

They may come back another night....but they're gone.

You will get a report of the leaks.

Sort of like.......
"A train just went by here."
"How do you know?"
"I can still see the tracks."

The tracks are the "good stuff".
