How much water is your humidifier using overnight? If its not going down much the heat may not be high enough. Also, are the bloody noses from were the pillows go into your nares or from higher up- which would more likely be from too dry of air?

Brea,

Your machine looks similar to mine (although I have a BiPAP). Try pushing the heat button and holding it for at least 3 seconds (till it beeps). Then go the the triangular buttons and push either one to go higher or lower until your heat setting is where you might want it to stay at. If you are at 6, you probably are burning your nose! Your users manual allows you to change your heat settings without a DME doing it for you.

Hi again,

First of all thanks for all the info FF, Ufo, CQ, R&R, and Margaret, and everyone else that wrote. Lots of helpful info.

My nose was sore from higher up, not the pillows. Too much air I guess with the pillows. But will try again when I get home. (with larger pillows!!!)

Throat is sore again tonight and havent started yet.
I did try the heat settings to see if they worked and they do! It is so easy when you know how.. Thanks.
I think tonight I will just have the water in there but not turn on the heat.

Will let you know how it goes....
Good night to all.
