My experience with OSA

Post by LilBuckaroo » Fri Sep 09, 2005 11:53 pm

On December 7, 2004 I was diagnosed as having OSA. Due to insurance difficulties, I didn’t receive my equipment until January 3, 2005. As a result of this, I have been “behind my mask” for 9 months whenever I sleep. I have no idea of how long I had OSA before this date.

While it is not natural to sleep with a mask strapped to one’s face or have tubes inserted into one’s nostrils with are attached to an air pump via a hose, it is the best that we can do at this point in time and we must live with it.

I wish to thank all of the posters who have been so helpful and understanding of my plight. We must remember that we need each other for support and advice.

In addition, please remember the survivors of Hurricane Katrina. Also, please remember the relatives and friends of those who did not survive. They need our prayers and best wishes.

Until later, sleep well and prosper my friends
